Try putting your words into someone (or something) else’s mouth…

There are a number of websites which allow you to create short embeddable videos marrying together spoken language and moving images.

One of these is Blabberize (as recommended by Russel Tarr via Twitter).  Russel recommends it as a revision tool

Another is Voki (as recommended by Ian Addison and Liz Stevens separately at TeachMeet BETT 2010).  These two recommended (in a very entertaining way) the use of V0ki to create ‘Speaking Avatars’ for language work – either as teachers or for pupils to create.  Again the resultant video can be embedded into Learning platforms and websites.
